At Online Mirror Camera, we believe that you should not have to compromise your personal privacy to use simple web tools. This policy explains exactly how your camera feed and data are handled when using our website.
1. 100% Client-Side Processing
Our tool uses your device's built-in webcam as a mirror. The video stream is accessed using the browser's native getUserMedia API and displayed on your screen.
Critical Security Guarantee: All video capture, rendering, filter adjustments, zoom controls, and image processing happen entirely locally within your web browser on your device. We do not transmit, stream, record, or store any camera footage, frames, or images on any server.
2. Snapshot Photos
If you use the built-in snapshot timer tool to take a photo, the image is rendered locally on a hidden HTML5 canvas element and immediately downloaded directly to your device's local storage as a PNG file. This file is never uploaded to our servers or shared with any third party.
3. Cookies and Local Storage
We do not use tracking cookies or persistent identifiers to monitor your browsing behavior. We utilize the browser's standard localStorage API solely to remember your UI preference:
- theme: Stores your choice of light mode vs. dark mode theme so the website loads with your preferred theme on future visits.
4. Camera Permissions
To use the mirror, your browser will prompt you to allow camera access. You can revoke this permission at any time directly through your browser's settings page. If you revoke permission, the website will cease camera access immediately.
5. Third-Party Analytics and Advertising
We aim to keep our tool simple and clean. We do not use third-party analytics trackers or network advertising SDKs that gather user footprints across websites.
